(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning and cruised past the Cubs 6-2 in St. Louis. Marcell Ozuna highlighted the frame with a grand-slam and finished with three hits on the day. Miles Mikolas tossed six innings of two-run ball to earn the win. The Cards’ have won two-straight and look for the three-game series sweep in Sunday’s finale. Chicago starter Jose Quintana surrendered all six runs across three innings of work to take the loss. Javier Baez broke up the shutout with a two-run homer in the fourth and the Cubs lost for the fourth time in six games.
