A Severe Storm made it’s way thru Fayette County early Friday morning, leading to a Tornado Warning for part of Fayette County. The Tornado Warning was for southwestern Fayette and northwestern Marion Counties during the 12 am hour. It was not a spotted tornado, but it was radar indicated by the National Weather Service, as they reported at 12:11 that there was a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Patoka and moving east at 30 miles per hour. The storm brought heavy rain to the area and frequent lightning. It was reported that on Main Street in Vandalia, while heading westbound, a vehicle was struck by a falling tree—the driver suffered some minor injuries.
