(Springfield, IL) — Six people will receive the Order of Lincoln next year. It is the state’s highest honor to recognize public service and professional accomplishments. Governor Rauner announced retired Illinois Supreme Court Chief Justice Benjamin Miller, Pulitzer Prize winning columnist George Will, BET co-founder and film producer Sheila Crump Johnson, University of Chicago Medicine’s Dr. Olufunmilayo Olopade, former Chicago Bulls player Jerry Colangelo, and Memorial Health System president and CEO Edgar Curtis as the next honorees yesterday.
