Communities to the west and east of Fayette County were hit with armed robberies on Thursday night.
Greenville Police are investigating an armed robbery at CC Food Mart on Route 127 South of Greenville at 9:14 pm on Thursday night. According to the information, three black suspects demanded money and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. And, it is reported that at least one of the suspects allegedly displayed a handgun. The suspects were described as black males in their early 20’s with short hair, and around 5’6″ to 5’10”.
Meanwhile, two suspects are being sought in connection with an incident that occurred at the Effingham Burger King on North Keller Drive on Thursday night at 10:21 pm. Reports say a call was received of a 911 call from a Burger King employee who advised that Burger King was just robbed by two suspects, one of which allegedly displayed a handgun. The suspects were described as black males between 5’5″ and 5’9″.
