Several storms, ranging from strong to severe, made their way thru the area on Sunday afternoon & night. For the first part of the day and evening, all the rain that moved thru Fayette County was in the northern part of the county, and particularly in the northeast area where a Flash Flood Watch was issued along with one storm prompting a Severe Thunderstorm Warning on Sunday afternoon. There were reports of damage in the Herrick area, with downed trees and power lines. The central part of the county got in the act later in the evening and into the night as a strong storm brought rain in during the 8 pm and 9 pm hours last night. Another round of storms came thru early Monday morning—bringing more rain to the area.
