State Representative John Cavaletto this week was appointed to the House Task Force on sexual discrimination and harassment. Pursuant to House Resolution 687, House Republican Leader Jim Durkin made the additional appointment of Cavaletto to the task force. Cavaletto said that he had voted for the establishment of the task force back in November, and wants to provide additional support before the December deadline to file a report on the findings and recommendations. The task force is directed to conduct a comprehensive review of the legal and social consequences of sexual discrimination and harassment, in both the public and private sectors, and make recommendations to the General Assembly. The task force is required to make its report, including recommendations in the form of legislation, to the General Assembly on or before December 31st.
