66 percent of soybeans have been planted and 24 percent have emerged, and that is well ahead of last year. 63 percent of winter wheat is now rated in good to excellent condition, which is an improvement over last week. Average statewide topsoil moisture is rated at 1 percent short, 79 percent adequate and 6 percent surplus.
