(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals had more errors than hits in a 7-1 loss to the Twins at Busch Stadium. St. Louis had just two hits, but made three errors in getting swept in the two-game Interleague series. Jose Martinez homered in the first for the Cards. Carlos Martinez gave up four runs, but just two earned, in five innings to fall to 3-and-2 with the loss.

(Chicago, IL) — The Cubs spotted the Marlins a 3-0 lead in the first inning before rallying for a 4-3 win at Wrigley Field. Victor Caratini tied the game with an RBI fielder’s choice in the seventh and put Chicago in front with another fielder’s choice grounder in the eighth. Carl Edwards Jr. got the win and Brandon Morrow his eighth save. The series finale is today.
