A Mulberry Grove man is next set to appear in Fayette County Court in June on first degree murder charges. 68-year old David Leroy Bright had a pre-trial hearing last week in Fayette County Court, and is now set for a pre-trial hearing on June 8th at 1o am. Bright is charged with two counts of first degree murder as information states that Bright is alleged to have “without legal justification, struck James Skinner in the head with a sledgehammer, knowing said act created a strong possibility of death to James Skinner, thereby causing the death of James Skinner.” Both counts are Class M felonies which are punishable by 20 years to life in prison. Bright remains in the Fayette County Jail on $1 million bond.
