(St. Louis, MO) — Paul DeJong hit a three-run homer and Kolten Wong also went deep as the Cardinals beat the Reds 9-2 at Busch Stadium. Yadier Molina went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored as St. Louis swept the three-game series. Miles Mikolas went seven innings for his third win.

(St. Louis, MO) — Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright is on the 10-day disabled list with inflammation in his pitching elbow. The move is retroactive to Friday. Wainwright was scheduled to start tomorrow against the Mets, but Luke Weaver will get the ball instead. Wainwright says he should be fine in a few days.

(Denver, CO) — The Cubs built an early 6-0 lead and hung on to edge the Rockies 9-7 at Coors Field. Javier Baez went 2-for-6 with a home run and three RBI for Chicago. Jason Heyward had a two-run single for the Cubs, who are 10-and-9. They open a two-game series in Cleveland starting tomorrow.

(Denver, CO) — It was a short Sunday for Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant. He was hit in the front of the helmet by a pitch from Rockies starter German Marquez in the top of the first inning. The ball caught the bill of the helmet and knocked it sideways. The Cubs say Bryant shows no sign of a concussion.
