Paul W. Hinrichs, 87, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Brookstone Estates in Vandalia, IL.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 9, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Shobonier, IL with Pastor David Hoehler, officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, Altamont, IL, with Military Rites. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL and 1 hr. prior to the service on Monday at the church. He was born May 3, 1930, in Rural Fayette County, IL, the son of William & Clara (Schnake) Hinrichs. Married Bernice Helen Suckow on November 16, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church. He was a Farmer and a retail clerk at Rural King, Vandalia, IL for over 20 years; US Army Veteran during the Korean War; Member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Shobonier, IL, VFW Post 3862 and American Legion Post #95, Vandalia, IL.
He is survived by: Wife – Bernice Helen (Suckow) Hinrichs, Vandalia, IL
Sister – Luella Lange, Decatur, IL; Several Nephews & Nieces; Sister-in-law – Myrna Suckow, Mason, IL and Norma Suckow, Edgewood, IL.
Preceded in death by: Parents; 1 Infant Brother; Sister – Florence Lange; and 2 Brothers-in-law – Marvin and Leslie Suckow.
