(Chicago, IL) — Illinois senators are gathering testimony on how legal sports betting would work if the current federal ban is ever overturned. During testimony yesterday at a legislative hearing in Chicago, gaming analyst Chris Grove said a legal sports gambling system would have to lure users away from the black market. He said that would mean not limiting gambling to just casinos and racetracks. Representatives from the NBA and Major League Baseball also testified in support of the idea of legal sports betting.
