(Flushing, NY) — The Cardinals have their first win of the year. Paul DeJong hit two solo homers for his first career multi-homer game as the Cards beat the Mets 5-1 in New York. Yadier Molina also homered as St. Louis salvaged the finale of the three-game set. Luke Weaver got the win.

(Miami, FL) — The Cubs settled for a four-game split with the Marlins, losing Sunday’s finale 6-0 in Miami. The game was scoreless until Jose Quintana gave up a five-spot in the fifth. He gave up six runs in six innings overall to take the loss. Kyle Schwarber had two hits for Chicago. The Cubs play in Cincinnati today.
