(Taylorville, IL) — The Illinois State Police say a central Illinois man stopped his crime spree only after running out of places to run, and turning his gun on himself. Troopers say Lee Kennedy allegedly started his spree yesterday morning about 5 a.m. when they say he shot his wife, his 13-year-old daughter, and another person in Taylorville. Investigators say he then sped off, robbed a store in Hillsboro, about a half hour away. The State Police say Kennedy then sped back to Taylorville where they say he shot himself outside the local hospital. He lived, and is being treated at a hospital in Springfield.
