Area residents interested in becoming a weather spotter will have their chance to receive training to become one for the National Weather Service. The Fayette County Emergency Management Agency will be hosting a severe storm spotter and weather safety training class offered by the National Weather Service. Those attending the class will learn how to be a volunteer storm spotter for their community and also for the National Weather Service. The class will be held on Tuesday, February 13 at 6:30pm at the Fayette County Health Department and the class is open to the public. The is no pre-registration required before attending the training.
