It looks like snow and then very cold temps are on the way for the area. We are looking at some scattered snow showers for the rest of this afternoon, but no accumulation expected out of that. As for tonight, the National Weather Service in St. Louis says that snow is likely, mainly after 2 am Monday morning, with a low of 22. The NWS says that new snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches is possible. The snow is expected to continue on Monday morning with less than an inch of additional accumulation. Meanwhile, temperatures will fall during the day on Monday—all the way down to a low of 1 on Monday night with wind chill readings as low as -15 on Monday night.
