We will remain pretty cold over the next couple of days. We could see a bit more snow this morning, otherwise we’ll see gradually clearing skies today with a high of 18. Then, mostly clear skies tonight with a low of 1. We’ll be sunny and cold on Saturday with a high of 19 and the mostly cloudy and a bit warm on Saturday night with a low of just 14.
We will finally get above freezing on Sunday—but we could see a mix of wintry precipitation. We have a chance of snow, freezing rain and rain on Sunday with a high of 35. As of this time, the National Weather Service in St. Louis says that little or no ice accumulation is expected and new snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible—but that could certainly change as we get closer. Meanwhile, the NWS says we’ll see rain on Sunday night with a low 0f 31—and that is also subject to change as we get closer. And, with the ground being very frozen from the freezing temps over the past two weeks, roadways throughout the area could be ice covered throughout the day on Sunday.
