(Peoria, IL) — There’s a little less in the Salvation Army’s Red Kettles this year. Salvation Army commanders across the state yesterday said their haul from the annual bell ringing marathon is down from year past. One of the reasons could be that people are carrying less change. The Salvation Army says it’s looking to go cashless at some Red Kettles next year.
