The Vandals wrestlers got two dual team wins at home on Wednesday night beating Carlyle and Cumberland in a new meet scheduled just a couple weeks ago. In the first dual team match, the Vandals got a 55-10 win over Cumberland. The Vandals got wins by pin from Jarek Wehrle at 106, Dakota Gasaway at 113 and Tanner Swain at 126 and wins by Decision from Zack Stephenson at 132, Jarrett Paslay at 152, Tiler Worker at 170 and Garret Stewart at 182. In the second match, the Vandals were winners over Carlyle 66-3 with the Vandals getting wins by pin from Gasaway at 113, Dustin Lott at 152 and Stewart at 195. Despite seeing two matches with a lot of forfeits due to weight classes not being filled by the two opposing teams, Vandals Coach Jason Clay says the Vandals had some good wins but have a couple things to work on going into the holiday break and the Super Duals in Springfield.
The Vandals are now 8-1 in dual team action and will be off until next Wednesday when they will compete in the Super Duals in Springfield.
