(Bloomington, IL) — Depending on where you are in the state, there’s either a little or a lot of corn left to harvest. The harvest is late, and farmers in some parts of Illinois say with more rain in the forecast this weekend they are worried about losing some of their crop. The Illinois Farm Bureau yesterday asked for the governor to declare a harvest emergency. The declaration would allow farmers to carry heavier loads of grain from their fields, and get their crop in sooner.
