(Springfield, IL) — Illinois lawmakers say they’ll try again to ban local right to work zones in the state. The Illinois House yesterday came one vote short of overriding Governor Rauner’s veto of a plan that would stop cities and counties from opting out of union rules and prevailing wage laws. A handful of Republicans voted for the ban, but Democrats were missing one lawmaker. The plan’s author says he wants to try again in two weeks.
