A Chicago area state lawmaker is proposing an assault weapons ban in light of the mass shooting in Las Vegas. State Representative Marty Moylan just filed legislation outlawing assault rifles and bump stocks in Illinois. He says it’s a matter of public safety.
Moylan says he will push for passage during the Fall Veto Session which begins later this month.
