(San Francisco, CA) — Nick Hundley launched the walk-off solo homer in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Giants edged the Cardinals, 2-1, in San Francisco. Buster Posey tied the game in the ninth with an RBI-single. Jeff Samardzija fired seven innings of one-run ball in a no-decision, and Sam Dyson earned the win. The Giants ended a four-game slide. Lance Lynn gave up one hit over eight shutout innings for St. Louis. Lynn says a blister on his throwing hand kept him out of the ninth inning.
Dexter Fowler singled in a run in the fourth for the Cards, and Ryan Sherriff gave up the losing homer to take the loss.
