A St. Elmo man charged with eight methamphetamine and other drug related charges is set to begin a jury trial this morning in Fayette County Court. 47-year old Thomas J. McCall will appear at 8:30am this morning for jury selection with standby counsel Ryan Connor on hand. McCall is charged with one count of unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine greater than 15 but less than 100 grams, a Class X Felony; one count of possession of meth greater than 15 grams but less than 100 grams, a Class 1 Felony; two counts of unlawful delivery of methamphetamines, both Class 2 felonies; one count of use of property to distribute methamphetamines, a Class 2 Felony; one count of possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 Felony; one count of possession of cannabis greater than 100 grams, a Class 4 Felony and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor. McCall has remained in custody of the Fayette County Jail on $150,000 bond since his arrest.
