A hearing set for a motion to reconsider the sentencing of a Vandalia man convicted of three counts of possession of child pornography has been reset for later this month. 56-year old William Frakes was sentenced to 18 years in the Department of Corrections on June 9 with his defense counsel Monroe McWard filing a motion that same day for reconsideration of the sentence imposed. With a hearing date set for Friday, August 7, a motion to continue was entered into court record on Friday and the motion hearing has been reset for August 25 at 11am. Frakes was convicted by a jury in February of this year on two counts of possession of child pornography of a sadistic nature of a victim under the age of 13 and one count of possession of child pornography of a victim under the age of 13.
