(St. Louis, MO) — Lance Lynn and two relievers combined on a three-hitter as the Cardinals shut out the Mets 6-0 at Busch Stadium. Tommy Pham, went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer and Paul DeJong and Luke Voit also went deep as St. Louis took two-of-three.

(St. Louis, MO) — Rookie outfielder Paul DeJong is in the Cardinals record book. He went 9-for-12 with three home runs and four doubles in the three-game series against the Mets. He’s the first Cardinals player ever with seven extra-base hits in a three-game series.

(Chicago, IL) — Jon Lester allowed 10 runs in the first inning as the Cubs were pummeled by the Pirates 14-3 at Wrigley Field. Lester got just two outs, but only four of the 10 runs were earned thanks to two errors. Victor Caratini went 3-for-3 with an RBI for Chicago, which lost two-of-three.
