(Chicago, IL) — Kyle Schwarber launched a seventh inning grand slam to lift the Cubs past the Cardinals, 5-3, at Wrigley Field. The grand slam was the first of Schwarber’s career. Javier Baez knocked a solo shot for the Cubbies, and Jon Lester tossed six innings in a no-decision. Hector Rondon got the relief win as Chicago evened its record to 27-and-27. Mike Leake gave up all five runs to take the loss for St. Louis. Jose Martinez clubbed a two-run single and Yadier Molina homered in defeat.
