(Chicago, IL) — Newly released tapes show Chicago billionaire J.B. Pritzker sought political office from former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. Pritzker spoke to reporters last night after “The Chicago Tribune” released FBI wiretaps of conversations he had with Blagojevich in 2008.
In the tapes, the businessman expresses interest in becoming state treasurer as opposed to filling the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by then President-elect Barack Obama. The recordings were released as the billionaire is seeking the 2018 Democratic nomination for Illinois governor.
