The Illinois Department of Transportation is being awarded a grant to help fight impaired driving. The 20 thousand dollars comes form the Governor’s highway safety association and the foundation for advancing alcohol responsibility. I-DOT Spokesperson Kelsea Gurski says it will be used to train police officers in spotting motorists driving on drugs.
10 classes of 10 different locations will be held around the state for local law enforcement officers.
