* Department of Transportation and county officials indicate some
roads remain closed due to high water from the heavy rainfall
event that occurred from Friday through Sunday. While some of this
water may recede today, another heavy rainfall event is forecast
to impact the area beginning tonight and lasting into Thursday.
Another 3 to 4 inches of rain is possible with this next wave of
heavy rain, and this is expected to produce renewed areal flooding
of small creeks, streams, and roads.

Jerseyville, Vandalia, Greenville, Litchfield, Hillsboro,
Carlinville, Staunton, Virden, Gillespie, White Hall, Nokomis,
Carrollton, Brighton, Girard, Mount Olive, Roodhouse, Bunker Hill,
Benld, St. Elmo and Greenfield.
This also includes Ramsey Lake State Park, Beaver Dam State Park,
and Lake Lou Yaeger.
