(Washington, D.C.) — Illinois‘ U.S. Senators want the federal government to pay to create summer jobs for young people. Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth late last week introduced two plans in Congress that they say will help teens in ‘at risk’ neighborhoods find jobs. One proposal would use federal dollars to create jobs, the other would use tax credits to entice businesses to hire more teens.
