A Farina man charged with aggravated kidnapping made an appearance in Fayette County Court on Tuesday. 34-year old Darrel K. Moulton was set for pre-trial on the charge of Aggravated Kidnapping of a Victim Under the age of 13. Moulton is alleged to have “knowingly and secretly confined a child under the age of 13 years, against his will” last summer leading to an Amber Alert and search before Moulton was located with the child. With Moulton’s counsel, David Grigsby being newer to the case due to conflicts with previous counsel calling for a change in Moulton’s public defender, the matter was continued and set out our jury trial and a pre-trial. After discussing several dates, the defense and the prosecution set jury trial for the May 22nd trial setting with a pre-trial scheduled for May 12 at 11am. The delay in the case is charged to the defense. Moulton remains in the Fayette County Jail on $500,000 bond.
