(Urbana, IL) — Lawyers for Aaron Schock want a judge to dismiss the corruption case against the former congressman because they don’t know if Congressional rules allow someone to spend taxpayer dollars on a chandelier. Schock’s lawyers yesterday asked the judge to dismiss the case outright. Prosecutors say Schock lied on Congressional and campaign expense reports to, among other things, decorate his office like the set of Downton Abbey.
