The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is looking for the public’s help in fighting child abuse. If you see something, say something. That’s a motto DCFS hopes you’ll follow, and not be afraid to report any concerns. Spokesperson Veronica Resa says a call to the child abuse hotline doesn’t mean the state will automatically break up a family.
Child abuse comes in many forms including physical, sexual, mental and neglect. Resa says you can report suspected child abuse anonymously by calling 1-800-25-ABUSE.
