(Chicago, IL) — Chicago Public Schools CEO and St. Elmo native Forrest Claypool is blasting Governor Rauner for comments he made about the district this week. The governor blamed Mayor Emanuel for causing a financial crisis at CPS. During a school board meeting yesterday, Claypool called Rauner’s assertion “a statement of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ absurdity.” The governor’s office fired back saying the CEO should look in the mirror after presenting a budget that included 215-million dollars not approved by the state.
