(Undated) — The winter blues are coming to an end as today marks the official start to Spring. During today’s vernal equinox, the sun’s direct rays pass from the southern to the northern hemisphere over the Earth’s equator. This means an equal amount of daylight and darkness, due to the sun’s position above the equator. This phenomenon occurs twice a year, in March and September, and signals the changing of the seasons.
