(Springfield, IL) — State leaders say they don’t know yet how many state of Illinois employees they may have to replace if there’s a strike. The state’s Department of Central Management Services yesterday said it doesn’t have a head count for how many replacement workers may be needed if state workers walk off the job. Illinois‘ largest public employee union, AFSCME, authorized a strike last month but has yet to order a strike.
