The case of a Vandalia man charged with the unauthorized videotaping of at least two women in a restroom was reset for a motion hearing after a possible plea deal was turned down by the defense. 46-year old Charles Sharp appeared in Fayette County Court on Friday for a status hearing or possible plea. The hearing came after a 402 conference between the state, the defense and Judge Don Sheafor was held on February 14 as facts about the case from each side were presented during that conference. On Friday, another 402 conference was held as the judge informed counsel on what sentence he would give if the defendant were to plead guilty. That possible plea was rejected by the defense and a motion hearing in the matter will now be held on May 10 at 1pm.
