A Farina man charged with aggravated kidnapping will make an appearance in Fayette County Court this morning. 34-year old Darrel K. Moulton is set for pre-trial at 10am this morning for the charge of Aggravated Kidnapping of a Victim Under the age of 13. Moulton is alleged to have “knowingly and secretly confined a child under the age of 13 years, against his will” last summer leading to an Amber Alert and search before Moulton was located with the child.
Meanwhile, Moulton is also set for a second appearance this morning concerning additional charges filed again him last month following an incident in the Fayette County Jail. Probable cause was given in court on two counts of Criminal Damage to Government Supported Property filed against Moulton. Information on the count one states that on February 7th, Moulton “or one whom he is legally responsible, knowingly damaged” government supported property in that he allegedly “removed R-board, foam insulation, from a wall and flushed the r-board down the toilet, causing flooding and major plumbing issues, said damage being less than $500.” That count is a Class 4 felony. Information on the second count reads the same as the first with the exception of damage on the second count being more than $500 but less than $10,000. That count is a Class 3 Felony. Moulton currently remains in the Fayette County Jail on $500,000 bond issued on the kidnapping charge.
