Meanwhile, the area’s State Senator says now it’s time to find a real solution to the state’s budget issues. State Senator Kyle McCarter was a very vocal critic of the Grand Bargain plan and he is says the plan potentially going away is a good thing.
And, now McCarter says they can get down to work on finding real solutions to the issues facing this state.
The biggest issue right now for the state of Illinois is the lack of a budget, which means many, many vendors of the state are not getting paid. The state has operated now for nearly 2 years without a full state budget and is now better than 3 months past the end of the stop gap six month budget that expired at the end of 2016.
