We saw a lot of rain, some hail, strong winds and some lightning. But, for the most part, the strongest storms stayed well clear of Fayette County last night and early this morning. There was a brief Severe Thunderstorm Warning in northern Fayette County last night–but that fast moving storm left the county rather quickly. The heaviest of the rain and strongest of the storm actually came in the early morning hours, between 2 am and 4 am this morning, with heavy rains and some thunderstorm activity–but this morning’s storm never reached the severe level. For today we are going to see falling temperatures into the mid 40s by this afternoon.
