Governor Bruce Rauner says he’s disappointed that the largest state employee’s union has voted to authorize a strike. Governor Rauner says the state is prepared should AFSCME go on strike, and urges the union to accept his terms.
AFSCME says the votes doesn’t necessarily mean that members will go on strike, and they urge the Rauner Administration to come back to the bargaining table.
