In what has been a long process with the State, the city of Vandalia is working to again prepare the Thrill Hill Road bridge for an April 28 bid letting. Scott Hunt of Hurst-Rosche Engineering updated the council on the progress of the project first relaying that they will be working to secure more right of way for the project.
And hunt says the important date to work towards before the actual bid letting is April 1 as the area must be cleared of some trees or brush by that day.
With all bridges controlled by the state, the process has been a long one that has included design and engineering changes as required by the state.
