(Punxsutawney, Pa) — Will it be six more weeks of winter or and early wrap on freezing temps? We’ll find out as Punxsutawney Phil makes his annual appearance today on Ground Hog Day. The February 2nd tradition marks the 131st year that Phil has predicted whether winter stays or goes. If Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow, it’s six more weeks of winter. If he doesn’t then spring is right around the corner. Groundhound-dot-org say Pennsylvania’s earliest settlers began celebrating Groundhog Day in the 1800s. Today, Gobbler’s Knob, where Phil hangs out, is packed with fans ready to see if Phil sees his shadow.
