Margaret Gough, 92, of Brownstown, died at 2:55 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Brownstown with Rev. Olen Evans officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m., at Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL, following the service. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to the family. Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting the family with arrangements.
Margaret was born on Monday, July 7, 1924 in Gran Quivira, New Mexico to Irman J. and Audrey (Gatlin) Lassiter. She married Leonard Lyle Gough in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1992.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deanna Kestner of Brownstown and Darlene Phillips and her husband Gary of Atwood; 4 grandchildren, Mike Gabbard, Lisa Funk, Rick Gabbard, and Shawnee Gabbard; half-sister, Nancy Humes of Alamogordo, NM; half-brother, Clifford Lassiter of Alamogordo, NM; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, William ‘Bill’ Gough, sister, Audrey Lucille Tipsword, grandson, William ‘Bill’ Gabbard and granddaughter, Shelly Donnals.
