The Illinois Senate is wasting no time in getting down to business by approving term limits for its leadership. The 100th General Assembly got underway Wednesday and the Senate has already passed a rule limiting Senate Democrat and Republican leaders to just 10 years in those positions. Minority Leader Christine Radogno says this is an important first step.
The term limits proposal is part of a broad plan addressing many issues from Radogno and Senate President John Cullerton.
