Jerry Lee Branham, 66, of Vandalia passed peacefully with his family at his side on January 1, 2017 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Thursday. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Jerry was born February 23, 1950 in Sterling, IL the son of Ralph and Helen (Diveley) Branham. He had previously worked at Crane Packing, Caterpillar, and was a caregiver for the disabled. Jerry was devoted to the bible and would read it daily. He also enjoyed playing poker, collecting baseball memorabilia, and listening to the Rolling Stones; he was a lifelong fan of the World Champion Chicago Cubs.
He is survived by his brother Rodney Branham and wife Sandy of Vandalia, nieces Lacey and husband Chris Campbell and Shayla and husband Sam Stock, great niece Addison Campbell and great nephew Payton Campbell, daughter Brande and husband Michael Dunn of Vandalia, grandsons Joey and Alex Dunn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son Nolan F. Branham.
