The unemployment rate fell in nearly all metro areas in Illinois last month as compared to one year ago. 13 metro areas saw the unemployment rate drop in November, and one—the Chicago area—remained unchanged. Illinois Department of Employment Security spokesperson Bob Gough says the over the year job growth was mixed.
Carbondale, Marion, Peoria and Bloomington suffered job losses compared to last year. Springfield and Champaign added 12-hundred and 21 hundred jobs respectively.
