(Springfield, IL) — More people are dying in crashes on Illinois‘ highways, but the State Police aren’t writing more tickets. “The State Journal Register” is reporting that the Illinois State Police wrote just 127-thousand tickets last year. That’s down from 210-thousand tickets in 2010. The paper also says the number of deadly accidents ticked-up. It’s not clear if there’s a connection.
