The case of a Vandalia man charged with unauthorized videotaping has been reset for February after a brief status hearing in Fayette County Court was held on Tuesday. 46-year old Charles Sharp of Vandalia is charged with three counts of unauthorized videotaping, each of which is a Class 4 Felony, as he is alleged to have without consent “made a video record” of two different victims “in a restroom” between May 1, 2013 and February 26, 2016. In October, a petition to revoke Sharp’s bond was filed in Fayette County Court and that argument as well as a defense motion to dismiss will be argued during a motion hearing set for February 14 at 1p.m.
